ABSTRACT PAINTINGS

in my abstract paintings, translucent washes and strongly textured areas navigate the boundary between chaos and harmony. working without fixed plans, I build each piece through intuitive dialogue with materials. I layer, pour, and mark surfaces using both unconventional tools—squeegees and silicone spatulas—and traditional paint brushes. transparent acrylic inks provide watercolor-like fluidity, while thick oil sticks and pastels applied as final layers create substantial physical presence. together these materials create surfaces that reward both distant and intimate viewing.​ forms are continuously built and dismantled, concealed and revealed, until the composition holds a sense of both instability and wholeness.

my paintings offer viewers entry into a liminal space where solidity and ephemerality coexist, inviting a momentary surrender to uncertainty that ultimately reveals the profound freedom found in embracing life's inherent contradictions.
