my ethereal landscape paintings evoke our shared longing for the divine. they call forth the spaciousness, comfort, and peace that so often arise in encounters with nature.

 

my own longing translates into scenes of muted forests contrasted with glowing light as I weave classical landscape techniques with imagined places, each one shaped by a vague emotional memory of somewhere I have seen before. the living energy of color and  intuitive marks form scenes that blur the line between representation and abstraction.

each painting invites presence and acceptance of life in its fullness, including grief, loss, and the inevitable passages through the unknown, while remaining guided by the quiet teachings of nature.

this collection took form in the summer of 2025, almost immediately after the birth of my second daughter, Anna, who was born on an auspicious day in July. each piece draws from a divinely planted seed of peace that has filled my heart in these tender early days of all-pervasive change.
